1. Our meals are prepared five days a week in the Communities of Maple Lawn kitchen.
2. Each meal contains two plates: The cold plate has a salad, desert, and bread with butter. The hot plate has meat, a starch, and a vegetable.
3. Doctor's diets such as low sodium, low cholesterol, low concentrated sweets, diabetic 1200 calories, and milk allergies are just a few examples of how we can vary our meals for your needs.
4. We want to know what foods you like and dislike. There are two choices of most items and we can substitute the menu item for the alternate item most times. For example, you tell us that you don't like spinach; the second choice of vegetable is corn so that is what we would give you.
5. If you have a chewing or swallowing problem, we have "mechanical" and "pureed" foods. (A mechanical meat, for example, looks somewhat like loose hamburger).
