As of April 14, 2003, the health care field will be governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. This act is to insure the privacy of your residents protected health information.

We continue to be able to share information for the purpose of treatment, payment, and operations but starting April 14, 2003 we will only be able to share resident information with those involved in the care of our residents, namely their Power of Attorney for Finance or Health Care. If information is to given to other parties we must have your permission to do so.
